These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the SIDE conference management extranet (the "Service") operated by SIDE - Società Italiana di Diritto ed Economia ("SIDE," "we," "us," or "our").
By registering for an account and using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service.
2.1 Eligibility You must be at least 18 years old to register for an account. By creating an account, you represent that you are of legal age to form a binding contract.
2.2 Account Information You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete. You are responsible for safeguarding your password and for all activities that occur under your account.
2.3 Account Security You must immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account or any other breach of security. We will not be liable for any loss or damage arising from your failure to comply with this security obligation.
3.1 Registration Process To register for a SIDE conference, you must have an active account and complete the conference registration form, providing all required information including dietary preferences and payment details.
3.2 Registration Fees Conference registration fees are displayed during the registration process. All fees are in Euros (EUR) unless otherwise specified. Payment must be completed via PayPal to confirm your registration.
3.3 Confirmation Upon successful payment, you will receive a confirmation email at the address associated with your account. This confirmation serves as proof of registration.
4.1 SIDE Membership Membership in SIDE provides benefits including reduced conference registration fees. Membership details and benefits are available on the SIDE website.
4.2 Membership Fees Membership fees, if applicable, are separate from conference registration fees and must be paid according to the terms specified during membership registration.

5.2 Copyright and Intellectual Property You retain copyright to your submitted papers. By submitting a paper, you grant SIDE a non-exclusive license to publish, distribute, and present the paper in connection with the conference and related activities.
5.3 Review Process All paper submissions are subject to review by the conference program committee. SIDE reserves the right to accept or reject submissions at its sole discretion.
6.1 Payment Processing All payments are processed securely through PayPal. We do not store your credit card information. By making a payment, you agree to PayPal's terms of service and privacy policy.

7.1 Professional Behavior All users of the Service and attendees at SIDE conferences are expected to conduct themselves professionally and respectfully. Harassment, discrimination, or disruptive behavior will not be tolerated.
7.2 Academic Integrity All paper submissions and presentations must adhere to standards of academic integrity, including proper citation of sources and avoidance of plagiarism.
7.3 Violations SIDE reserves the right to revoke access to the Service, cancel registrations, and ban users who violate this Code of Conduct, without refund.
8.1 Responsibility You are solely responsible for any content you upload, submit, or transmit through the Service, including papers, profile information, and communications.

11.3 Maximum Liability In no event shall SIDE's total liability to you for all damages exceed the amount paid by you to SIDE in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless SIDE, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.
13.1 By You You may terminate your account at any time by contacting segreteria@side-isle.it. Upon termination, you will lose access to the Service, but your data may be retained as described in our Privacy Policy.
13.2 By SIDE We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including breach of these Terms.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Italy, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these Terms or the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Trento, Italy.
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or through the Service. Your continued use of the Service after such modifications constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
